FAQs

What time does the ride begin?

The ride begins at 9:00 am as a rolling start. Registration is open from 9:00 - 10:00 am. Riders are expected to complete the ride by 1:00 pm to ensure your enjoyment of pie.

Where can I get a map of my route?

A map of each route will be available under each ride description higher on this page approximately two weeks before the ride. You will click on the Ride With GPS link, then save to your device (phone, ride computer, etc.) or print as PDF with turn-by-turn directions. There will be a limited amount of course maps and turn-by-turn directions available at the main event location.

Will the ride be supported? Are there rest stops along the route?

The ride is self-support. Bike For Pie ride will have a support vehicle for non-emergency related situations but with +40 miles over two routes be prepared to manage on your own. The Challenge route half-way pie stop is the only official rest stop. However, both routes pass through neighborhood centers where riders can find restrooms or water.

What are the roads like? Are the routes marked?

Bainbridge Island is hilly with roads of various levels of stress (sidewalks, road shoulders, no shoulders, etc.). We do our best to keep routes on quieter, low traffic roads, and minimize hills on the family route. With that said, there are a few spots with more traffic or busy traffic crossings. For these we have additional signage and encourage use of traffic light crosswalks. Please be courteous to all road users and make sure to obey all traffic laws.

All routes are marked by arrows, and color varies with each route. Note your route’s arrow color. Turns are marked on the road with 2 arrows before and 1 arrow after each directional change. Limited course maps and cue sheets will be at registration to ensure a copy please print out a map at home or save the Ride With GPS route on your personal device.

Are Squeaky Wheels Bike For Pie jerseys going to be available at the event?

Yes, but please order your jersey in advance, if possible. Orders opening soon.
